What we do
Four ways in, one conversation
Coaching, presentation, media and advice are four words for the same work: helping you take the floor clearly and with confidence.
Coaching
Message and messenger are indivisible
We start where you are. The more you know about your presence, the better you present. How do people perceive you? How does that influence them, and how does their response influence you?
We begin with half a day of video or conversation training. Over the following months we meet you in your own practice: coaching on the job. We prepare each appearance together and review it the week after, supported by licensed assessments on leadership, behaviour and communication.
Your best insight becomes self-insight.
Presentation
Presenting is taking the floor in order to have a conversation
That works with three people and with three thousand. Surprise them. Tempt people into a conversation, with themselves, with you or with each other. As a speaker you set the frame of mind of your listeners.
Tell a story from your own conviction and you move people. We help you find a story that gets passed on. We record a presentation and watch it back together: what works, and what could be better?
We train individually or in twos and threes. Programme, duration, place and date are agreed with you. A day of training with half a day of follow-up a few weeks later is the most requested form.
Media
Take the initiative, and keep it
Dealing with the media is a particular form of presenting, because your contact with the audience is indirect. There is a journalist in between.
This is exactly where it helps to know both your qualities and your limits. We record an interview and watch it back together.
Online and social media let you reach your audience without a journalist in between. There too it comes down to a personal approach. Sometimes our advice is to avoid those channels altogether.
Advice
Personal and surprising
Our advice focuses on you, the speaker, and on the team you work with. What makes you and them feel relaxed and confident? How do you give an audience certainty and trust?
We moderate meetings, or attend as an observer and advise afterwards. The result is a lasting improvement that takes less deliberation and gives more pleasure.
Advice also covers career advice: which direction do you want to grow in, which capabilities do you want to acquire, and how do we introduce you to another network?
Who we work with
Where the work takes place
Since 1979 we have delivered presentation and media training, for non-profit and for profit. Over the past twenty-five years two specialisations were added: crisis management with the help of the media, and building or restoring trust. Usually it comes down to stabilising a situation in which (social) media play a key part.
- Cabinets, ministries, provinces, municipalities and water authorities
- Executives and boardrooms of companies
- Housing associations and institutions for psychosocial care
- Universities, education and childcare
- Crisis teams, spokespeople and communication teams
- Programmes in the Netherlands and abroad
We also research effectiveness and practical experience in matters of crisis and trust. That is how we keep our knowledge current, particularly in dealing with the media.
